PEARLS FOR HER

Profound, Empowerment, Astounding, Riveting, Legacy, Sacrifice. This is the acronym for "Pearls." This is KAMALA HARRIS. Ladies from every walk of life, Black, White, Latina, Asian, Mexican, and more, on this historic day, January 20, 2021. Please wear your pearls as the first ever woman and African American/Asian woman is sworn in as the Vice President of the United States. We will see her stand alongside our new President, Joe Biden to take the oath to protect America. As we witnessed back in 2008 the first ever Black man, Barak Obama, sworn in as the 44th president of the United States. Let us give thanks to the almighty as he has heard the cry of the people to bring about change for a new horizon, for a better democracy. As the late great Martin Luther King stated, " we must learn to live together as brothers or perish together as fools".  John Lewis quoted "I have learned over the years that when one's mind is made up, this diminishes fear. Ruth Bader Ginsburg quoted " the state controlling a woman would mean denying her full autonomy and full equality". John McCain quoted " People who hold certain institutional positions should have your respect until they lose it. But the rest of us mortals must earn it. Elijah Cummings quoted "When you see destruction, you also got to realize there's pain, there's pain behind a lot of this." George Floyd “Mama, I can't breathe” We heard you George Floyd, loud and clear  These influential individuals are what American democracy looks like. Their fight, their struggles and causes will not die in the amber flames. Kamala Harris believes in justice for all people, no matter their background. She will do what is right for the people and continue to fight for causes that plague us all and to get America back to what we all respect and appreciate. This is a historical day that we all can be proud of because we did it. We the people, made our voices heard and we the people want life to be better for all Americans. We are also witnessing a new White House with a more a diverse cabinet being sworn in, that represents the real United States. A multicultural society with all people’s voices being heard to stand up for the rights of this Nation. Wear those Pearls as a symbolic gesture for justice, peace, diversity. As Joe Biden states, "building back America and continue on the road to recovery and what we know as "The United States of America."
