Life is full of events that are out of our control. One minute you are happy and something comes along to make us sad. Most times as humans we get through it and keep it moving and other times it takes a toll on us and it is more difficult to get through the hurt, pain, or disappointments. We are here to live our lives and just know that every day is new. We in Maryland experienced the devastation that was so unthinkable and unexpected. On March 26, 2024, the Francis Scott Key Bridge collapsed after a container ship lost power and crashed into it causing the bridge to fall into the water. As the ship crashed into a support beam, the main part of the bridge was destroyed. Six workers were on the bridge at the time, and they all fell into the water. Two victims were rescued and one was treated at a local hospital and released. Unfortunately, 2 bodies were recovered and others are still in the water because of the hazardous materials and the difficulty to pull them out of the water. My point is that tomorrows are not guaranteed. Life is precious and I take nothing for granted. Be appreciative and grateful for the blessings we have, and be as happy as you can be. Don’t sweat things that cannot be changed and live life with a positive outlook as much as you can. To the families of the Francis Scott Key Bridge disaster, you have our sincere condolences and God Bless you and your families. May you find strength and solace as you mourn the loss of your loved ones.
